About the job
WingSwept has an immediate opening for an experienced inside sales executive, preferably with government sales experience. This position is responsible for generating, developing, and coordinating sales efforts for WingSwept’s Case Management and Tracking System, a software tool that federal, state, and local agencies use in investigations of fraud, waste, and abuse. This full-time position is located in Garner, NC. Compensation for this position includes a base salary plus commission, as well as benefits including health and dental insurance, matching 401k, and profit sharing.


The responsibilities of the position will include:

  • Generate new sales opportunities with government clients
  • Qualify and coordinate all sales activities for prospects
  • Understands the features and benefits of the product
  • Charismatic and able to quickly build rapport with prospects
  • Become knowledgeable on competitors
  • Maintain and develop prospect database
  • Assist sales, support, and marketing staff members in activities such as sales promotion, training, or market research in planning and executing projects.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and participate in product demos
  • Provide electronic quotes
  • Manage prospect through the sales process
  • Attend conferences as needed (some travel required)
  • Conduct presentations in person and webinars online as needed
  • Good understanding of government contracts, budget processes, RFP’s and standard bid requests
  • Research RFPs/RFQs and take lead on writing and submitting proposals
  • Coordinate onboarding process for software application


Minimum requirements:

  • Multiple years of professional sales experience
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere ensuring efficiency of projects from start to finish
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interactions with customers on a daily basis both in person and on the phone
  • Strong listening skills both in person and via telephone
  • Must be persistent, driven, responsive, flexible, fun, intelligent, competitive, proactive, confident and detail-oriented
  • Business degree or equivalent professional qualification and/or experience
  • Extra consideration will be given to candidates possessing an MBA or similar educational background
  • Experience or interest in detailed professional writing (e.g. proposals, grants) is a must
  • Government purchasing experience a plus
  • Must be able to work a full-time 40-hour work week
  • Ability to conduct research via the web and apply knowledge towards new research methods
  • Must present a professional and dignified image to applicants, partners and peers
  • Ability & willingness to operate in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a calm demeanor and maintaining a “win/win” attitude
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to pass US high level government security clearance
