Description
WingSwept is an employee-owned company seeking an Application System Administrator within our application development division, to provide both internal and external technical support for our web-based Case Management and Tracking System (CMTS) as well as other key applications within the company.
The responsibilities of the position will include:
- CMTS Software installation and updates in our AWS hosting environment as well as in customer Windows OS environments
- SSL certificate installs and renewals in customer Windows OS environments for use with our CMTS software application
- Assisting clients with migrating our application and data for server migrations
- DevOps in AWS
- Monitoring, OS patching, new server setups/tagging, backup setups for CMTS hosting
- AWS backup checks
- Backup and restore testing
- Documentation for Customer configurations/management and internal processes/procedures
- Security audits
- Process improvements and recommendations
- Technical architecture recommendations to senior programmers for consideration
- Security vulnerability scans and remediation for CMTS and other AppDev servers/environments
- Project management of short term and complex projects
- Data entry tasks associated with internal and external projects on a limited basis
- Investigate new technologies for use internally and in client environments
- Handle escalated customer support for internal and external customers
- Act as an engineering resource for any and all functions in the team as needed
- Identify risk and escalate to the appropriate resource for mitigation
- Keep information regarding our clients, their data, and other sensitive information confidential
- Work collaboratively with the Information Security Committee in order to reduce risk to WingSwept and our clients
Minimum requirements:

- Must be able to pass both Department of Defense and corporate criminal background checks and drug test. US citizenship is required
- High school diploma, at least two years of secondary education preferred
- Must be able to work a full-time 40-hour work week from our office in Garner, NC
- Five+ years of IT or related experience
- Good verbal and written communication skills for daily interactions with employees and customers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to provide leadership and mentorship to others and lead by example
