About WingSwept
WingSwept, an award-winning, employee‑owned technology services company, is seeking an experienced Government Account Executive to help drive insides sales efforts for our Case Management and Tracking System (CMTS) — a widely adopted software solution used by federal, state, and local agencies to investigate fraud, waste, and abuse. This role offers the opportunity to represent a respected product that has a real impact on government accountability and oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Product Expertise & Market Knowledge
- Rapidly learn and articulate CMTS product features, benefits, and differentiators
- Develop a working knowledge of competitor offerings and industry landscapes
Prospect Engagement & Pipeline Management
- Build rapport quickly with prospects through phone, email, and virtual communication
- Maintain a consistent daily cadence of outbound outreach to state and local agencies in an assigned territory
- Manage and maintain an accurate prospect database
- Qualify inbound leads, assess needs, and determine budget and timelines
Sales Process Execution
- Schedule, prepare for, and deliver software demonstrations
- Provide timely electronic quotes and guide prospects throughout the full sales process
- Follow up on marketing-generated leads and collaborate with marketing on campaigns and collateral
- Support proposal development, including writing and reviewing proposal sections
- help transition new clients smoothly into the implementation process
Client Training & Representation
- Represent WingSwept professionally at industry conferences (occasional travel required)
- Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Ability to work full-time, on-site at our Garner, NC office
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professional presence when interacting with prospects, partners, and team members
- Ability to conduct research and apply findings to outreach strategies
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a positive, solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to remain calm and composed while navigating complex sales cycles
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug test
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with government procurement or selling to public-sector agencies
- Background in investigative, oversight, audit, compliance, enforcement, or related environments (e.g., OIGs, internal affairs, civil rights offices, regulatory agencies, law enforcement)
- Familiarity with investigative workflows: intake, triage, investigation, reporting, and case closure
- Experience with case management systems, evidence management tools, or investigative workflow software
