Description

WingSwept is an award-winningemployee-owned technology service provider seeking to add a full-time Assistant Office Manager to meet the day-to-day needs of our office in Chantilly, Virginia. This individual will work a full-time schedule and report to the HR Manager in our Garner, NC location.

Responsibilities

  • Procure, receive, and sort orders of office supplies and snacks
  • Maintain pantry area and office supply storage and alert Office Manager when inventory is low
  • Add paper and ink to printers as needed
  • Assist with set up for company events
  • Escort vendors throughout the suite as needed for service or repairs
  • Develop various systems of organization within the office
  • Coordinate with vendors and shipping companies regarding open orders
  • Receive shipments and greet visitors to the building
  • Assist with planning and set up for company events and encourage participation among employees
  • Provide administrative support to Ministry Coordinator in coordinating and planning volunteering and giving opportunities in support of local charitable organizations and causes
  • Provide administrative support to HR Manager in onboarding new hires, including providing and processing new hire paperwork and conducting new hire orientation as needed
  • Provide cultural leadership to WingSwept's Chantilly office - both in promoting and facilitating events, activities, and amenities and in addressing any violations of company policy on behalf of the HR team
  • Perform light cleaning and maintenance tasks around the office, including simple handyman tasks, such as changing light bulbs, installing shelves, and maintaining office equipment
  • Coordinate with Finance department to track and manage technology inventory, including laptops, monitors, and other devices
  • Assemble office furniture and install technology equipment as needed, ensuring proper installation and functionality
  • Other duties as assigned by management to support the smooth operation of the office and ensure a positive work environment

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills for interactions with employees and vendors on a daily basis
  • Must be eager to learn and contribute in a team environment
  • Must be highly organized
  • Must have strong leadership skills and the ability to appropriately exercise delegated authority
  • Must have basic PC skills and the ability to learn and use basic software applications as needed
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Must be capable of standing/walking for 2-3 hours at a time
  • Must be a US citizen, able to pass a US government background check, and eligible to obtain a security clearance
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
  • Must possess or have authorized use of a vehicle to transport small loads to and from the office as needed
