One of the ways we do this is by managing the web presence of more than 2,200 customers over three different verticals. The SEO Specialist will play a critical role in making sure that we are employing modern and sometimes cutting-edge techniques on a macro level to help our customers attract more business through the web, as well as advise our customer service team on what micro techniques can be used in specific circumstances.

The SEO Specialist will also apply their skills and knowledge to our internal brands to maximize our ability to attract and convert prospects through our websites and other online platforms.

Job duties include:

Product

  • Work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement search marketing strategies for our customers
  • Communicate strategies and supporting activities to customer service, product, sales and marketing teams
  • Advise customer service on specific situations and make recommendations
  • Perform keyword research to optimize existing content and uncover new opportunities
  • Monitor, track and report on customer search results on SERPs
  • Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve search results for target keywords
  • Spot check SEO efforts and provide feedback
  • Develop new content to be deployed on customer websites
  • Track the SEO industry to ensure we are utilizing up-to-date techniques to ensure search result success
  • Manage SEO projects and rollouts, when necessary
  • Work with Product Leader to develop road maps for applicable products

Marketing

  • Recommend and implement strategies and activities to improve search results, maximize online engagement with prospects and increase the number of form-fills/incoming leads on web properties for internal brands
  • Recommend and implement strategies and activities to maximize online engagement with customers, where appropriate
  • Evaluate, monitor and report on SEO results for internal brands
  • Complete SEO competitive analyses for internal brands
  • Perform keyword research to optimize existing content and uncover new opportunities
  • Provide recommendations to maximize PPC ROI, where appropriate

Skills/Traits Required

Minimum requirements

  • Two years of demonstrated success in SEO, local SEO preferred
  • Experience with SEM/PPC is a plus, but not required
  • Experience using SEO/website analytics tools (Google Analytics, Moz, SEMrush, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in SEO
  • Four-year degree, with a marketing degree preferred
