Brief Company Description

WingSwept is a fast-paced web / technology consulting firm dealing with a large cross section of projects and industries.  WingSwept’s portfolio of clients includes small & medium sized businesses, non-profits, educational institutions, federal government agencies and Fortune 500 companies.  WingSwept is involved locally through its PC/Network Support division in managing computer systems and corporate network infrastructure components for small business customers ranging from 15-100 computers.

Job summary

WingSwept has an immediate opening for a self-motivated Technical Account Manager to work with WingSwept’s clients in order to support the needs of our clients and to be their primary contact.   This is a full-time salaried position with benefits to include bonuses, paid time off, health insurance, 401(k) with matching contributions and flexible work schedule.  The ideal candidate for this position will have an affinity for computers, a broad knowledge of various computer systems, and excellent customer service skills.  The ideal candidate will also have a thirst for knowledge and a quick ability to tackle new problems and the ability to work with customers on their ever changing technology needs.  The most successful candidates will have done account management for small business customers previously either on the side or as part of their duties for another company.

The responsibilities of the position may include:

-       Provide strategic network support to a growing list of clients

-       Provide strategic knowledge of business processes and operations to clients

-       Provide options for ways for clients to improve their technology infrastructure

-       Manage client accounts through personal contact on a scheduled basis

-       Update management on issues related to technology at client offices

-       Update knowledge base in order to provide continuity among other company personnel

-       Coordinate onboarding of new clients

-       Become involved in the quoting & procurement process for new and existing clients

-       Investigate new technologies for use internally and in client environments

-       Act as a liaison between clients and our technical staff

-       Monitor internal and client services for any possible issues and facilitate issue resolution

-       Support group sales efforts to expand the network consulting client list

-       Develop and maintain a comprehensive plan for forecasting quarterly client projects

-       Build and maintain relationships with vendors and support partners

Minimum requirements:

-       High school diploma, at least two years of secondary education preferred

-       Must be able to work a full-time 40 hour work week which may include after-hours functions

-       Firm understanding of the configuration of basic networking components and peripherals

-       Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interactions with customers on a daily basis

-       Strong analytical and problem solving skills

-       Highly organized

-       Must be able to pass a background check and drug test

-       Must be a US citizen

Extra consideration given for the following:

-       Secondary education in business management and/or economics

-       Experience with small business operations management or ownership

-       Experience providing technical support in a business environment

-       Exceptional computer and system administration skills on Microsoft based clients and servers

-       Intricate knowledge/experience with PC and server hardware diagnostics, repair, and installation

-       Fundamental understanding of business telecommunication systems

-       CompTIA Network+, A+, Microsoft certifications

-       Experience in project management

 

 

Compensation

 

Salary will be determined based on the qualifications of the candidate.  Salary histories and references are required.  The position starts with competitive benefits and may include additional commissions and bonuses for highly motivated staff.  Consideration may be given to exceptionally qualified individuals who meet the overwhelming majority of the extra consideration requirements.
